DIABETIC FOOT CARE
Poorly controlled Diabetes Mellitus can be extremely harmful to your general health and well being, but in particular to your feet and lower limb. Regular Neurological and Vascular assessments by a trained Podiatrist is crucial in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
CORNS and CALLUSES
Corns and calluses can be a painful distraction from your everyday life. Understanding why corns and callus form is crucial to treating them and that's where your trained Podiatrist can help. Removal is often pain free and with help from your Podiatrist, can lead to delaying or even preventing their return.
BIOMECHANICAL ASSESSMENTS
ORTHOTICS
Foot pain can make even the most simple tasks difficult. The foot is a complex structure and assessing the cause of pain needs a detailed and educated approach. Your trained Podiatrist will conduct a gait analysis watching you walk, examine your footwear, take detailed measurements and obtain medical imagery to help find and treat the cause of your pain.
Foot orthotics are devices that your trained Podiatrist may use to help assist you in your treatment plan. An orthotic can be used to help support your foot and assist with foot pain. Issues such as Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendonitis, Osteoarthritis and painful flat feet may all benefit from orthotic therapy.
NAIL SURGERY
Ingrown toenails can be an incredibly painful condition making even the most basic of tasks unbearable. At Hunters Hill Podiatry Practice, we offer surgical correction for ingrown nails. Under a strict sterile environment, your trained Podiatrist can utilise Local Anaesthetic to minimise pain and remove the small piece of problematic nail hopefully once and for all!
